Our high quality fabrics are quality assured, safe and non-toxic, produced in environmentally managed mills, durable, washable & easy to clean and have a luxurious touch. But, how do we assure this from farm to showroom and give our customers guarantees of our promises and values?
Within fabric DNA, quality assurance is our top priority. Governance of all topics related to Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) are covered under this umbrella. Our QESH team monitors compliance, new legislation, and best practices throughout the industry. Home Fabrics is also part of Bru Textiles, an ISO 9001 company. This global certification outlines a number of quality management principles while instilling a process of continuous improvement.
To guarantee the quality of fabrics that carry the Home Fabrics or Bru Textiles name, fabrics are rigorously tested for optimal performance by Labotex, the in-house independently accredited laboratory.
Another key focus area is ensuring the fabrics we have in the market are safe and non-toxic. We are proud to say many of our products are manufactured and certified under the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This guarantees that they won’t release any harmful finishes or chemicals into the environment and are completely safe for contact with you, your children and your pets. All of our fabrics are also REACH compliant. REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a mandatory EU regulation prohibiting the use of hazardous substances.
One of our biggest commitments for the future is to have the majority of our new collections as eco fabrics by 2025. These are fabrics which carry Organic Content Standard (OCS) or Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certifications for their recycled yarn compositions.
